Tommy Thomas (March 31, 1957 in Memphis, Tennessee - February 18, 1999) portrayed the saxophone player in the Starlighters.

Thomas, who played the song Night Train during the filming of Back to the Future, passed away in 1999 from lung cancer.

Coincidentally, Thomas was born on the same day-- March 31, 1957-- as Marc McClure, who played the role of Dave McFly in the Back to the Future trilogy.
