- "He [Marty Junior] wandered back towards the kitchen. His father straightened the video screens, adding 'Let's have some art, please!' / The six TV programs disappeared, replaced by what looked like a very large, bright painting of a bowl of fruit! Marty Senior turned and followed his son from the room."
- —From Back to the Future Part II by Craig Shaw Gardner (quote, pages 77 and 78)
This channel was showing on the multi-channel video screen when Marty Jr. arrived home after his visit to the Cafe 80's, and he switched it off so he could watch six other channels instead — namely "channels 18, 24, 63, 109, 87, and The Weather Channel". When the McFly family went for dinner, Marty McFly put The Art Channel back on.
The channel was still broadcasting when Douglas J. Needles called on the video telephone, with the words INCOMING CALL superimposed at the bottom of the screen. Following the subsequent call from Ito T. Fujitsu, in which Marty found himself fired (or "terminated") by fax, the screen resumed showing The Art Channel.
