Tachyon field generator

The tachyon field generator was a part of the DeLorean time machine that was positioned on the roof of the car. It supposedly was involved in creating the field necessary to open a wormhole for temporal displacement.

Behind the scenes

• This part was named by Bob Gale (as mentioned by the Time Machine Restoration team on the back of this card from the TMR Trading Cards ). It had previously been erroneously called the "wormhole emitter" by fans before Gale gave a list of the parts on the DeLorean.
