Starbase Zero was an arcade in downtown Hill Valley in 1986. Edna Strickland lived directly above it, with her entrance on its right hand side. Marty McFly visited the arcade while searching for the owner of a lady's shoe he found in the DeLorean time machine. He wondered if Jimmy had gotten the Wild Gunman game fixed yet. It was also featured in 1986A, as it was the subject of a headline that the Tannen Crime Family had robbed it.

Presumably Edna hated video arcades and likely did not see a business like Starbase Zero as one that would "fit" in her idea of a utopia, as Starbase Zero is not seen in 1986B and the Wild Gunman arcade cabinet is found among contraband in the decycling bin. As many parents of the 1980s felt video arcades were breeding grounds for truancy and where bad men frequented, presumably First Citizen Brown shut down Starbase Zero in an effort to rid Hill Valley of bad influences.

In 1931, the location was occupied by Billiards Parlor.
