A remote controlled mail delivery time machine was a small vehicle that delivered a scratch and listen postcard to Marty McFly in 1991. Once it arrived at its destination time and location, the mail would then be ejected from the hatch on the top of the machine.

Since it was operated by remote control, the signal was likely broadcast as a sub-ether transmission.

Behind the scenes

  • The design of the remote controlled mail delivery time machine was based on the design of the United States Postal Service delivery vehicles.
