A Pterosaur saves Emmett and Jules Brown.
Pterosaurs were flying reptiles that went extinct in the latter part of the Cretaceous Period. Although they are commonly referred to as "flying dinosaurs", they do not descend from the same last common ancestor.
In 3000000 B.C., a toothless Pterosaur known as a Pteranodon was befriended and christened by Verne Brown as Donnie, after saving Doc, Jules, and Verne during their visit to the past. Donnie was killed by the meteor which caused the extinction of the dinosaurs.
