An oldie was a song or piece of music that was over twenty or thirty years old. The term was used in the 1980s to refer to songs in the 1950s and 1960s.
When Marty McFly introduced "Johnny B. Goode", he called it an "oldie", which to most people in 1955 did not make sense, especially since they had never heard the song before.
