Max Spielberg was the director of the movie Jaws 19 that was playing at Hill Valley's Holomax Theater in 2015.
Behind the scenes[]
- Max is the real-life son of director Steven Spielberg, and was born on June 13, 1985, three weeks before the nationwide release of Back to the Future, and was four years old at the time the writers of Back to the Future Part II referred to a possible career for him in 2015 when he would be 30 years old. The joke about Max being director of Jaws 19 was an appropriate reference, with the Spielberg family continuing the Jaws series that Steven had started in 1975.
Actuality[]
- Although Max acted as assistant to his mother, Amy Irving, on The Rage: Carrie 2 in 1999, he hasn't followed in his father's footsteps as a director. He is currently employed at Electronic Arts, where he designs video games.[1]
