Mario Brothers (abbreviated as Mario Bros.) was a platform video game by Nintendo. It was released to arcades on July 14, 1983. When Super Mario Bros. was released for the Nintendo Entertainment System two years later, it began a franchise that has continued into the 21st century.
When Marty McFly traveled from 1986 to 1931, he used the name "Mario Brothers" as an example of a charity that could use a soup delivery from Edna Strickland.
