Kelp tea was a tea that the McFly family drank at dinner in 2015, and which Marty asked his daughter Marlene to pass to him. However, Marlene said she didn't want to and told him to "nump off!" Fortunately, Grandma Lorraine stepped in at that moment and told Marlene off about speaking to her father that way.
An article titled KELP PRICE INCREASE was billed in the Newsline column on the front page of the October 22, 2015 issue of USA Today as appearing in Section C, and appeared to be "likely after pollution of South Pacific".
