J. Williams was the leader of a group of activists in 2015 who had mobilized to ban alphabet soup.

According to the Newsline column on the front page of the October 22, 2015 issue of USA Today,[1] Williams claimed alphabet soup was “an offensive product which contains slurs and profanity in every can”.
