The Institute of Future Technology was Emmett Brown's research laboratory in 1991.

While some of its staff were in 1955, young Biff Tannen stole one of the new DeLorean time machines and began skipping wildly across decades. Doc sent a crew in to follow him and bump him back to the present.

In 2006, Brown was forced to sell the Institute to Krusty the Clown after an accident made by Professor Frink which caused the death of banker Mr. Friedman. Not true; this was the Simpsons' version of it. We STILL don't know what really happened to the institute.

Behind the scenesEdit

The events that led to Doc selling the Institute to Krusty were developed as part of The Simpsons universe crossover to explain the history of the building. Still not true.
