Huey Lewis and the News are an American rock band that was founded in 1979. They enjoyed mainstream success primarily in the 1980s. Through the years their formation changed a bit. The original lineup of the band consisted of Huey Lewis (Vocals, Harmonica), Sean Hopper (Keyboards), Bill Gibson (Drums), Johnny Colla (Guitar, Saxophone), Mario Cipollina (Bass) and Chris Hayes (Guitar). They were one of Marty McFly's favorite bands.
