Buffy Tannen had to make sure her ideal timeline contained the following events:
- Buford Tannen doesn't kill the blacksmith and gets arrested for robbery instead.
- George McFly doesn't confront Biff, causing him to take a job where Biff is his boss.
- George and Lorraine don't kiss, causing Lorraine to date and eventually marry Biff.
