Blacker House

The Blacker House is a house located at 1177 Hillcrest Avenue in Pasadena, California. that was designed by architects Charles and Henry Greene. They also designed the Gamble House. Both of these houses were used in the Back to the Future trilogy. The Blacker House serves as the interior shots of Doc's mansion.

The house was in escrow while the crew were filming, and so there was a rush to film the scenes before the sale of the house was finalized. Also, airplanes flying overhead made filming at this location difficult. The new owner gutted the house, selling most of the original items — including those seen in Back to the Future. They have since tried to restore the house to its original glory as a historical residence, and have obtained many items that were in the house, with some having been donated.[1]
