Archimedes was one of three horses named by Dr. Emmett Brown in 1885, along with Galileo and Newton.
History
Archimedes was named after the Ancient Greek mathematician Archimedes.
Archimedes and Galileo had stalls in Doc's blacksmith's workshop between the door and the large steam-powered refrigerator, with their names written on signs above the entrances to their stalls. He was the horse that Doc was riding when rescuing Clara Clayton from falling into Shonash Ravine on September 4, and to chase after the train on September 7.[1]
